Busy schedule? Want your dog to enjoy a fun, productive day while you’re at work?
Our Day Training & Socialization Field Trips program offers a unique, private training experience where your dog spends the entire day learning, exploring, and building confidence with professional canine trainer Alicia Scholet.
Your dog is our only training guest for the day!
Unlike traditional doggy daycare or group training programs, this is an exclusive, one-on-one experience. We dedicate the day to your dog’s individual needs, personality, and training goals without dividing our attention between multiple dogs or clients.
Simply drop your dog off in the morning, go about your workday, and pick them up when you’re finished!
Throughout the day, we’ll work on obedience, confidence building, environmental exposure, and everyday manners while enjoying supervised field trips around the local community.
It’s a fun way to give your dog new experiences while you’re busy with your day!
What’s Included in Your Dog’s Day?
🐾 Individual Behavioral Evaluation
We begin by getting to know your dog, observing their behavior, confidence, existing skills, and learning needs.
🐾 Basic Obedience Training
We’ll practice foundational skills such as leash walking, engagement, attention, sit, down, and everyday manners.
🐾 Behavior Shaping & Confidence Building
Your dog will participate in fun learning activities designed to encourage problem-solving, independence, and confidence.
🐾 Socialization & Neutrality
We’ll work on helping your dog feel comfortable in everyday environments while practicing calm behavior around people, dogs, noises, and distractions.
Remember, socialization doesn’t mean your dog has to greet everyone! Learning to comfortably observe the world without interacting is an important skill.
🐾 Private Field Trips
Your dog will accompany us on supervised outings to appropriate dog-friendly locations, where we can practice real-world skills, explore new surroundings, and enjoy positive experiences.
🐾 Mental Enrichment & Exploration
We’ll incorporate opportunities for sniffing, exploration, play, and other enriching activities throughout the day.
🐾 One-on-One Professional Attention
Your dog receives our exclusive attention for the day. There are no other client dogs attending our day training program during your dog’s scheduled session.
🐾 End-of-Day Training Summary
When you pick up your dog, we’ll review what we worked on, discuss their progress, and share recommendations for continuing these skills at home.
A Premium, Personalized Training Experience
At Fulton Strong K9, we believe training should be individualized rather than rushed through a standard routine.
Our Day Training & Socialization Field Trips program is intentionally designed as a private, one-dog-per-day service.
That means your dog’s day is built around their individual needs rather than a group schedule.
Some dogs may benefit from more time practicing leash manners and obedience, while others may enjoy exploring unfamiliar environments, building confidence, or learning to remain neutral around everyday distractions.
We’ll adjust the day’s activities to your dog’s abilities, comfort level, and progress.
Because we only accept one dog per day, your dog receives dedicated attention throughout their entire visit, including appropriate rest periods.
Flexible Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times
We understand that every owner’s schedule looks a little different!
Whether you’re heading to work, managing a busy day, or simply wanting your dog to enjoy a special training experience, we’ll coordinate drop-off and pick-up arrangements that accommodate your schedule whenever possible.
Morning Drop-Off: Scheduled around your availability.
Afternoon/Evening Pick-Up: Arranged around the end of your workday.
All scheduling is coordinated in advance and subject to availability.
What Can You Expect From One Day?
Our goal is to provide your dog with an enjoyable, educational day filled with meaningful learning opportunities.
This is not a program that promises a fully trained dog in a single day.
Instead, we’ll introduce and practice useful skills, help your dog experience new environments, and provide recommendations for continued training at home.
Every dog learns differently, and we’ll work at a pace appropriate for your dog’s needs.
We want your dog to go home having enjoyed new experiences while giving you additional insight into their behavior and training potential.
Participation Requirements
For everyone’s safety, this program is available to dogs who are comfortable around both humans and other dogs.
To participate, your dog must meet the following requirements:
Human and dog friendly: Dogs must be friendly toward people and other dogs.
Current vaccinations: Dogs must be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations.
Negative fecal test: A recent negative fecal test is required before drop-off.
Safe handling: Dogs must be comfortable being handled, leashed, and transported safely.
Behavioral history: Owners must disclose relevant medical, temperament, and behavioral information before scheduling.
What About Dogs With Reactivity or Aggression?
Dogs experiencing human or dog reactivity, aggression, or significant behavioral challenges are not eligible for our Day Training & Socialization Field Trips program.
However, we do offer Private Weekend Intensive Programs designed to address reactivity, behavioral concerns, and individualized training needs in a more appropriate setting.
These programs allow us to work directly with both the dog and owner to develop safer handling skills, improve communication, and address behavioral challenges over a longer period.

What to Bring
Please pack the following items for your dog’s training day:
Regular leash and properly fitted collar
Comfortable harness
Favorite food rewards or training treats
Favorite toy rewards
Meals if your dog typically eats during the day
Any additional training equipment your dog uses
Required vaccination and negative fecal test documentation
We will provide drinking water, appropriate rest breaks, and transportation for scheduled field trips.
