This program is designed specifically for high-drive working-line puppies to build the right foundation before formal obedience and control work begins. The focus is on development, engagement, confidence, and handler skill, not commands or pet manners.

Each session is 1 hour and is tailored to the puppy’s age, genetics, and developmental stages

What We’ll Work On

This program focuses on creating a puppy that is clear, confident, and engaged, while teaching the handler how to shape behavior correctly from the start.

Puppy Development & Behavior

• Building confidence without flooding or pressure

• Developing environmental stability and curiosity

• Proper exposure to surfaces, environments, and novelty

• Understanding fear periods and how to handle them

Engagement & Relationship

• Developing engagement without conflict

• Teaching the puppy to choose the handler

• Play-based relationship building

• Preventing avoidance, conflict, or handler frustration

Marker Systems & Rewards

• Proper reward delivery and timing

• Introducing markers (yes/no) clearly

• Using food, toys, and play strategically for drive development

Foundations (Age Appropriate)

• Beginning positions (sit, down) without drilling

• Recall foundations through games and movement

• Introduction to leash pressure without correction

• Building impulse control through structure, not suppression

Handler Education

• Understanding genetics and drive development

• What not to do with a high-drive puppy

• How to avoid creating future reactivity or conflict

• Setting expectations for the next training stages

This program is about building the dog you want later, not rushing obedience now.
