Program Requirements & Expectations

  • Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations

  • Owners must provide:

    • A solid (non-wire) crate

    • Enough of your dog’s regular food for the duration of their stay

  • Board & Train programs must be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival

  • A 30% deposit is required to reserve your spot

  • All dogs must be human-social and non-aggressive
These programs are for obedience, manners, and reliability — not severe aggression cases

Dogs must be crate trained and able to stay clean

    • If your dog repeatedly soils their crate, Board & Train is not an appropriate setting

    • In these cases, costs may be transferred to a private lesson program instead

Most training equipment is included in your program cost.

Owners receive weekly progress updates every Saturday via email or text.

👉 An online evaluation via Zoom is required before enrolling in a Board & Train program.

Current Availability

January, February, & March 2026

All Board & Train programs are completed on Fulton Ranch in Homosassa, Florida, where your dog stays with me for focused, daily training. I intentionally take only 1–2 Board & Train dogs per month so each dog receives individualized attention, structured routines, and consistent handling. Because of this limited availability, programs typically book 3–4 months in advance. Please do not expect same-month availability.

Is Board & Train Right for You?

Board & Train Is a Good Fit If:

  • Your dog is social and comfortable around people

  • You want a structured jumpstart on obedience and manners

  • You understand that training continues after your dog comes home

  • You are willing to attend go-home lessons and learn how to maintain the work

  • Your dog is crate trained and able to stay clean

  • You are looking for improved manners, obedience, and reliability, not a quick fix

  • You want your dog trained in a consistent, calm, structured environment

Board & Train works best for owners who want strong foundational skills and are committed to maintaining them through proper handling and follow-through.

Board & Train Is NOT a Good Fit If:

  • Your dog has human aggression or severe fear

  • You are looking to send your dog away and not be involved

  • You expect training to be “done forever” without continued practice

  • Your dog cannot remain clean in a kennel environment

  • You are unwilling to learn or apply handling skills at home

  • You need treatment for severe behavioral pathology or aggression cases

Board & Train is not a replacement for owner education. It is a starting point — your consistency is what makes the training last.
